Casa Del Sole Sold (Read 1797 times)

Posts: 382 Gender:	Casa Del Sole Sold Jul 21^st, 2007, 3:12pm I was perusing the real estate transactions and noticed the Casa Del Sole was sold for $1.768 million the week of May 19. Wow, I can only imagine that it probably would have sold for a lot more than this just a few years ago.

I hope the Case del Sole (Case del Sold?) will remain a motel, but I'm pretty confident about it as well. I don't know what the zoning regulations in that area are, but nothing on that Ocean Ave. stretch has been demolished and turning into condos or anything like that. That area is one of the few on the island that has remained virtually untouched.

The Casa del Sole has always looked like a very well-maintained property. It just received a new color scheme (either this year or last) and generally gets solid reviews on the tripadvisor.com-type sites...

I checked the web site and there is no managment info which would imply it is. It would be interesting to see a well managed hospitality company go public and use the revenue to acquire more Doo Wop Hotels. Ed

This is excellent news- a hotel remaining a hotel is never something to take for granted. Now only if they decided to fix the name. Shouldn't it be "Casa del Sol" and not "Casa del Sole"?

Ah, chalk it up to the typical 'Wildwood quirkiness' on the spelling there. Grin

I agree though, Rob. It probably would have been easy for us to take something like this for granted five or six years ago, but no more.
