I  am not sure how many rooms that place has but I'm guessing no more than 4.

Really Random 4 year throw back response:

I believe it has 6 when my parents stayed there.  Nice airy room but supersmall bathrooms.   In their room you had to open the door to use the sink.  My friends once stayed there overnight when visiting me and the owners wanted to make sure no parties were going to happen with us.

We stayed for two weeks at the Dutch Boys every year from 1983 or 1984 right up until it was demolished.  I wish I had known, I would have bought up every bit of the "decor" as I could have.  It was our second home!  I still get sad when I walk past and see those boring condos standing where our place used to be.  I still remember every detail, down to the little dip in the cement where we would always fit our little bare feet inside.

In response to the last comment, there were at least 7 or 8 rooms.  On the left side looking AT the Dutch Boys on the Rose Motel side, there was the biggest room in the back where we stayed.  Then there were 3 or 4 other rooms.  Then behind the office and the owners' living quarters (Mr. and Mrs. Emmer) there were another 3 or 4 rooms.

Thank You!!  I'm sure I have some photos with the Dutch Boys as the backdrop.  I'll have to dig them up and I'll gladly share them when I find them! Smiley

The south end of Wildwood proper - on Hildreth, between Ocean & Atlantic Aves.

Thess old school smaller motels are few and far between. As mentioned earlier the Eileen is the oldest one in the rrest (possibly all of ww) that is still standing.

Thanks.   I saw the roofline on the motel behind it in the picture and thought it was the Seagull.  I guess it is.   Or another motel with that same roofline was the hialeah in the crest, But I didn't think it was located there.

The Tangiers bordered what was the Hialeah.

And the condo that occupies that space kept the Hialeah name. I remember the vacant lot, except for a very lonely sign, before the condo construction.
