I must say this thread has been so enjoyable to scroll through with this huge collection of colorful images.  Each one, in its own unique way, reaffirms why I love The Wildwoods so much.  A big thank you to all who contributed.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the font used for "motor inn" on this sign, not sure why but it just looks cool Grin

M.T. Building is more like it.   Wink

There are some sad sights out there on Pacific, a scene that will hopefully someday be improved.

Incidentally, I've been told that the Fairview has new signage. Wasn't able to get out that way last weekend, and am curious if anyone else has...

HOLY COW!  So many truly great artistic "eyes" here - and some really technically excellent photos!  What a joy....especially when compared to the millions I've endured seeing during years of "mass" photo finshing!    Must be the inspiring subject matter bringing out the "master" in some people.  Wink

I always loved the Fairview sign. I hope it wasn't destroyed. Remember the old army navy store? That was always interesting.

Pacific has some good people: Gia, Hooked on Books, etc.

Not sure how many would be interested, so I'm just tossing this out there as a concept thought for now; but, we could easily turn this into a "collected works"-style book. Maybe something we could put together and sell to raise money at the Doo Wop Experience or Boyer?

What do you guys think?

What steps would need to be taken to put the book together?

I do like the idea of a compendium of photos. I am inspired as a novice, by so many on here that really are wonderful photographers. Inspired to take it more seriously and try harder myself as a novice. I bet that by the end of this season, we will have tons more photos and I am looking forward to every pixel.

Why not create an e-book that could be published on iTunes? It would be readable on an iPad.

Love ALL the pics. So far my two favorite are.......Ken's shot of Ocean Avenue looking north from the Armada at night and Tech's black and white looking south along the Ocean Towers shops at night.

I never understood why the Skyline Golf sign was removed. Did the salt air rot it out? Did the miniature golf place close? This was always a great way to measure how far we traveled on the boardwalk.

There's that enormous neon TANFASTIC sign I often talk about right over what would become Gateway 26! Now that was a SIGN!!!
