Would love to get some dialogue going and possibly coordinate with others planning on making it down for any of the Morey's Fears weekend events in October.  
 
[Cheap Plug alert] Rob and I will be down on Oct. 15 for the NJ Lighthouse Challenge, as we'll be signing copies of Hunt's Pier at Hereford Lighthouse in the afternoon. As of now, my plan is to head down that morning. The signing will likely wrap up sometime around 3 p.m. After that, I'll head up to the Boardwalk for late lunch/dinner, prior to Mariner's Landing opening for the evening.
 
We'll be staying overnight and heading back up to Philly on Sunday morning.
 
Could be a great (and very unique) opportunity to meet up, if anyone else plans on being down that night. These Halloween events are also a lot of fun to attend in groups.  
 
With Morbid Manor planning to remain open on weekends through Halloween, we could also swing up there and pay them a visit before heading down to Mariner's.

I am planning to be down early Saturday morning and will be staying until Sunday.  It will be lots of fun to do Morey’s Fears in a group.  Trying to finalize plans today, but most likely will be staying at the Caribbean.

Not sure where we'll be staying yet. Morey's is offering package specials that "start at $199" at their resorts, but I'm assuming that's for two nights and we'll only be able to come down for one. Still, since I'll have the family down, I'll probably be looking for something in central WW. Depends on what's open...

You could try the Oceanic. I enjoyed staying there last year for a couple of nights. And it's a great location for boardwalk events.

On the moreys site they made a nice page with info and links for faq hotel deals rides ect.
 
I think they did a really good job with all the details of the event

Reminds me of opening night for the Ghost Ship, but with scenery and effects ramped up 1,000 times.
