That's a great article Martin, thanks for sharing. The part about how old some of the neon is and only the metal ends needing replacing is very interesting. As I mentioned in another thread I noticed some new neon on the island this year, as well as a few motels with signs fixed that had been out for years. I hope it continues to regain in popularity.

I remember hearing somewhere - maybe I read it in Melinda & Bob Williams book - about how the neon signs and even repairs to the old ones are better now.  I believe it - I see less flickering neon around Wildwood than I remember in years before.  Part of that is probably because there is less neon around Wildwood to flicker, but I think it's more than that...

Like I said in an earlier quote about the neon, I can't believe how much I pay attention to all the broken neon signs around our area.  I always say, let's call A.B.S.........
