Doo Wop Back to the '50s Tour

Relive the thrill of Wildwood’s heyday in the 1950s and 1960s and see the best of Wildwood’s Doo Wop style landmarks while your guide recounts the popular culture of the era.

2007 Tour Schedule:

Tuesday and Thursday nights, through July and August
departs from Wildwoods Convention Center at 7:00 PM

Tickets: $10 Adults, $5 Children
tickets may be purchased online, at the Wildwoods Convention Center ticket office, or the Greater Wildwoods Chamber of Commerce office on Pacific Avenue

2007 Wildwoods Fabulous '50s Weekend

A celebration of the Wildwoods' 1950s heritage - music, dancing, art, architecture, classic cars and more!

October 19 - 21, 2007

The fourth annual Wildwoods Fabulous `50s Weekend, October 19-21, 2007, is a celebration of Wildwood's unique role in music history. Bobby Rydell will star in the Fabulous `50s Rock and Roll Show on Saturday evening, October 20th 7pm, at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Also appearing will be Little Anthony & The Imperials, The Cadillacs, The Coasters, and The Chantels.

Fab '50s Weekend Doo Wop Tours:

Experience the wet n' wild, never mild pastels and neon of the 1950s, when Wildwood NJ was the hoppin' place at the shore!

See boomerang rooflines, tomorrowland ramps and levitating signs. Listen to tales of the entertainment district of the '50s... the Surf Club where Lionel Hampton performed, the Rainbow Club where Chubby Checker introduced the Twist, the Starlight Ballroom where Dick Clark was DJ, the Elmira, where Don Rickles insulted the audience... all in the town that was the playground of such stars as Liberace, Connie Francis and Johnny Mathis!

'Wildwood Days Documentary:

Screenings of this award-winning documentary of Wildwood's fabled past will take place all weekend long at the Wildwoods Convention Center! DVDs will also be on sale.
