There's a new web log all about Wildwoods' Retro-Future imagery, written by, and featuring the lovely Stella Star. Come visit it at https://doowopcity.wordpress.com - Where will Stella be next?
Stella Star just recently posted her 100th episode, and it's a huge season finale, filled with pictures all around town spanning the entire summer season!
Last month, after all the notices from WordPress, we converted all the text to robotic audio podcasts on Anchor.FM, a subsidiary of Spotify. Those can be heard at various places, but its flagship web site is https://anchor.fm/stellastar
The downside to this is that you can't view the pictures that the podcast describes. So I've been combining the audio transcripts with the photos and making short "hybrid" video editions of each post. They're kind of silly, due to Remy, the "Voice" of Stella Star, but I hope you enjoy it anyway, should you choose to tune in. Currently, the videos are being posted on Vimeo and D.Tube. I'm trying to gloss them up as I progress on this series, so you'll see that the first couple of videos look pretty bare-bones.
We went there during the day a few years ago and there was so much to see! It looks amazing at night! I'm trying to figure out what to do at night when I go back down besides the boardwalk as I'm still trying to be careful with Covid...not to mention, it's always fun to do something different. Maybe we'll stop in if they're open at night.
I visited the giant sand dune. It's still giant, but a third of the size (cut to about 1.5 blocks), and its height is refined now to become inncorporated with the beach.
I haven't been along JFK Boulevard since June, so I don't know. I'll swing by there the next time I have a chance. Meanwhile, Stella Star's web site gets updates every few days. In the latest update, Stella Star visits the boardwalk's famous Doo Wop Diner!

Great pictures! Are those dunes still that high? Last time I saw them was Mother's Day weekend.
Would you consider creating new posts for Stella Star updates? The Doo Wop City site will probably get more hits, plus it'll give more activity to the forum.
I think that's where I got my hat. I'm trying to go for a 70s disco look myself, but it's hard to find authentic leisure suits (not costumes which are low-quality material and usually filled with historical inaccuracies) in my size, short and fat.
By the way, Stella's always looking for authentic clothing to add to her wardrobe. If you ever run into any at yards sales, thrift shops, Etc., and they are size Small, drop me a message. Thanks!
I love the colors on her dress! Have you tried the store on the boardwalk, What Goes On? They sell a lot of vintage clothing and always carry fun items. We like to check it out whenever we're down and they're open.
Ugh don't get me started about the spammers. I reached out to a few places, including the Doo Wop Experience and the web developer, but no one ever replied.
Back to the topic at hand, thanks for sharing that site. This is the first I have heard of her but it looks interesting.
Very nice pics as usual. I think the Pan American may be the most beautiful hotel in Wildwood Crest and the Morey's are always improving it.
I did not know anything about the satellite room. Very nice
