Was down to Wildwood from June 5th to the 7th to drop off my son for the summer. Here are a couple pictures and observations.
This lady was added to the indoor Miniature Golf façade.
No signs of life at the old Howard Johnson/King Inn.
New pizza place and ice cream/shaved ice place at the 21st Ave block. I'm glad that shaved ice has returned to the boardwalk.
Colleen's/Neil's Seafood is just a memory.
The old maze on Adventure Pier is only a memory too.
And finally, I had two FANTASTIC slices of Mack's Pizza....perfection! I will return to the island in a few weeks to celebrate my son's birthday.
Is XO Pizza where La Vecchia Sicilia used to be? That place never had diners inside whenever I would walk by.
Thanks for the report and pics.........Warren
Great pics and report as always. The Mack's looks perfect! I hope the old Kings Inn doesn't get flattened, I think it was a Quality Inn the last year or two. I too will miss what I still call Neil's as I remember going there when it was Neil's Steak and Oyster House back in the 80's and into the 90's. It was a really good restaurant back then. I hope your son has an awesome summer!
Thanks for another great report. Ugh, seeing that picture of Neil's is so sad. My family and I, along with our friends, made it a tradition to stop there every visit for their unlimited crab leg night. We had a lot of good times there.
Love you reports, bill. The pictures and feelings are perfect on this stormy day
Great pics and observations as always, thanks. I guess the maze was old but my girlfriendand I were hoping to try it this year, oh well. Going to really miss Stardust once it meets it's demise...
