Changes

I see that Russ is listening to us and making changes to the site. I like the new text and colors, everything is easier to read now. Is it possible for us to DM each other? Also, now that there is a Trip Reports section, can you move my July trip report to that section?

I don't think there is a way to DM unless I'm missing something.

The changes are looking great, thank you Russ!

I am glad to see they are open to listening and making changes

hank you for all the feedback, I have been listening and must say I am very pleased and excited to realize there is such an active community here! I recently joined the Board of the Wildwood's Doo Wop Preservatoon League and as a web developer was tasked to create and update a new website that is more current with today’s compatibility, mobile friendly and Current content while still maintaining the feel and information from the past! seeing that the information from old site was not current I was unaware of the activity on the forum and the forum that you originally saw will evilve into a much stronger platform, I can assure you of that! With all of your help, support and input, we together will create a more user Friendly, current and stronger community! I may not always respond but I am listening! Also, once you follow someone or a Category in the forum you will be notified of their posts. You can also DM a member and this forum is online friendly. Thank you all again!

I still don't see a way to DM someone. Do you have to follow them before you can DM them?

The three-time use of the term “current“ is disheartening. ”Being current” is basically the antithesis of what this site and the forum (excluding comments from a few trolls-in-disguise) were about. Reminds me of clients on HGTV shows yapping about “open concept” and swooning over anything finished in white. 😉 And… I’m sorry… call me stupid, but I cannot fathom a “tasked web developer“ not being “aware of the forum activity” on the site he has been asked to take over. I’m quite sure you did find everything here somewhat antiquated in terms of programming, but that wouldn’t have prevented actually reading the forum discussions 😎. More plausible is that the forum content simply wasn’t valued by the powers that be, which is sad, IMO.

Thanks Russ, for trying to make this forum work, its appreciated. And at least we get to hang with our 'friends' from the old board.

You went back to your old moniker Frank....that's more like it.

I'm hopeful business will pick up as more of the other members find their way here
